About Hoops4Schools

To represent the 20% of disengaged students, we want you to sink hoops for 20 days, from 16 Aug - 5 Sept and show your support for a good cause - helping young people to stay in school and get a better start in life!

Join the Hoops4Schools Challenge! Together, we can tackle the student disengagement crisis and help our youth to find the future they deserve.

Education is a game-changer. At The BUSY School, we recognise the challenges faced by an increasing number of students struggling in mainstream schooling.

That’s why we created Hoops4Schools - a dynamic fundraising campaign and corporate event, designed to tackle the student disengagement crisis head-on.

One in five teens are disengaged from school, with many facing stressful life events, bullying, academic difficulties, anxiety, illness, or a range of other complex issues.

School avoidance can make these teens more vulnerable to unemployment, poverty and crime. And these struggles can last into adulthood, creating broader impacts.

With more families than ever seeking alternatives to mainstream schooling, we need education programs that boost confidence, maximise engagement, and open career opportunities.

Hoops4Schools isn't just about raising funds; it's about raising awareness of the critical need to engage young people in education. Designed as a collaborative platform, it unites schools, alternative learning providers, businesses, and the community in collective action.

Join us in making a lasting impact! Get your friends, family, and networks involved to fundraise toward your target. Bank your hoops as you sink them and raise funds along the way—it's that simple!

Together, we can create a brighter future for all young people, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Calling all alternative learning providers - Join us as a Hoops4Schools charity beneficiary!

At The BUSY School, we recognise the vital role alternative learning providers play in engaging young people in education. We invite you to join us as a charity beneficiary in this year’s fundraiser and raise funds for your own organisation. All participating providers will be featured as a charity option at registration, empowering challenge participants to support their chosen cause.

You guys are providing a unique service to students who otherwise would be left with a pretty dim future. Thanks for changing my young person's path and providing him with the skills and learning to pursue some very different options to what he otherwise would have had. Thankyou and keep up the great work
